In February 2016, she signed a Malayalam film Oppam opposite MohanlalVimala raman is an indian actress and model, she is well known for Tamil,Telgu movies, she is born in Sydney Australia and she learn the bharatnatyam and kathak dance there and when she came to India and she made her acting debut in 2006 with Poi, a Tamil film directed by Kailasam Balachander. Her first Malayalam film was Time withSuresh Gopi. She paired with Ajmal Ameer in Pranayakalam. In the same year, she also appeared with Mammooty in Nasrani and with Dileep in Romeo. She appeared in College Kumaran with Mohanlal and in Calcutta News with Dileep in 2008. Vimala Raman attended the Natanalaya Dance Academy based in Sydney, Australia. She studied dance under the tutelage of Jayalakshmi Kandiah.
