Almost a decade after entering Politics, Chiranjeevi makes a comeback into film industry with 'Khaidi No.150' which is a remake of Tamil super hit 'Kaththi'. VV Vinayak worked with Chiru for the first time for 'Tagore', a remake of 'Ramana'. Both 'Ramana' & 'Kaththi' were scripted and directed by AR Murugadoss. 'Tagore' stood as the biggest hit in Chiru's career. Can 'Khaidi No.150' repeat the same feat?

Story :

Kathi Seenu (Chiranjeevi) is a small-time criminal who serves jail sentence in Kolkata. He manages to complete the jail-break successful in the process of helping jail staff nab a criminal and lands in Hyderabad. There, Love at first sight happens to him upon meeting Lakshmi (Kajal Agarwal). Twist comes in the form of Shankar who looks just alike Kathi Seenu. How Kathi Seenu gets into the shoes of Shankar and addresses the farmer's issue forms the rest of the tale!

Performance:

In Khaidi No.150, Chiranjeevi looks 10 times better than his last movie 'Shankardada Zindabad'. He is simply exceptional be it dances, fights, comedy, dialogues, emotions and style. Styling done by Sushmita Konidala made Chiru appear so trendy. His comic timing tickles the funny bone, dance movements were a feast to eyes, arrests the attention with action sequences and touches the hearts with emotional scenes. How could a 60-plus Actor does all this and make it look so effortless? Believe it or not, Megastar surprises throughout the course of the movie.

Kajal Agarwal can't be an asset to 'Khaidi No.150'. Her role & performance looked quite ordinary. It appears like she was just roped for the sake of songs. Even in songs, The focus is more on Megastar.

As Antagonist, Tarun Arora couldn't match up with Chiru. Dubbing given to the role isn't up to the mark.

Brahmanandam manages to bring smiles on the faces to some extent but his role lacked freshness. Ali is alright. Jayaprakash Reddy & Raghu Babu have been good.

Technical Aspects:

Devi Sri Prasad targeted majorly Fans & Mass Audience. 'U & Me' is one song could be kept on a loop. 'Neeru Neeru' song is heart-touching and it's been used very effectively. Background Score has been an asset for the movie. Ratnavelu's Camera Work brings a rich look to the whole movie. He used his expertise in songs. Dialogues penned by Paruthuri Brothers, Sai Madhav & Vema Reddy on farmers issue are thought-provoking. Production Values are grand. Ram Charan produced the prestigious movie in an uncompromising manner. VV Vinayak directed the movie the way Chiru & his Fans want his comeback to be. He has given a commercial touch to 'Kaththi' for catering to the Mega Fan Base. Vinay kept the story intact but added comedy blocks & songs. One must say, Remake lacked the required intensity in the penultimate scenes.

Finally My personal opinion about Director And Film :

First things first, 'Khaidi No.150' have all the elements one expects from a Chiru's film. VV Vinayak has packaged it so well to make it a treat for fans. Commercial elements added to the remake, such as comedy & dances, will mesmerize fans and mass audience. It's more like  full meals for those who admires Megastar.

Rating : 2.75/5
Tagline : Boss-is-Back for Mega Fans
Final Word : VV Vinayak and Mega star packaged Entertainer
