Hansika Motwani belongs to a buisinessman's family she was born on 9 AugustPradeep 1991in Mumbai, her mother is a dentist and She has a brother Prashant Motwani. Hanshika studied at Podar International School in Mumbai. she was interested to like to play acting and drama in her schooling times, In the childhood she played varous role as child artist on TV screen such as Shaka Laka Boom Boom is her first debut as a child actor , Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand for this she has won child award from star parivar and after that she played a role in Koi Mil Gaya Bollywood film with Hritik Roshan and Prity Zinta.
In 2007 Hansika made her debut in a lead role in Telugu film Desamuduru, opposite Allu Arjun, and she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her performance.In the same Year Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor and it was a commercially hit. Again she turned to South indian cinema and did lots of telgu and tamil movies such as Bindaas starring Puneet Rajkumar, it was her first and only Kannada film to date.After that she worked paired with Jr. NTR in the film Kantri. and her next Tamil film debut was Mappillai which was release in 2011and she work opposite Dhanush. Engeyum Kadhal, Velayudham, in which she starred alongside Vijay,and the film became a box-office success.
