Isha Koppikar is an Indian actress and model who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi films. Isha is best known for playing role in Kya cool hain hum films for this, she earned critical appreciation and the film was hit on the box office. Isha Koppikar's most critically acclaimed performances were in the films Girlfriend with Neha Dhupiya, D, Darling and Shabri . She has also played leading and supporting roles in several commercially successful films, including Qayamat: City Under Threat with Ajay Devgan Arbaz Khan, Sunil shetty and Sanjai Kapoor she played a nigative role in this film, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum with Tusar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? with Arshad warshi and Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shushmita sen, 36 China Town with Shahid kapoor and Kareena Kapoor and Don: The Chase Begins Again with Shahrukh Khan, and she did well item numbers in several films.
Koppikar was born in 1976 at Mahim, Mumbai Maharashtra India in a Konkani family. She has one younger brother. Koppikar was graduated in Life Sciences at Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai. When she was at college she appeared in a various photoshoot for Indian photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha. The shoot led to work in advertising as a model, notably for L'Oréal Paris, Rexona, Tips & Toes and Coca-Cola. Koppikar competed in the 1995 Miss India contest, winning the Miss Talent Crown. Her modelling work gave her an introduction to the film industry and to her first film debute in a Telugu movie Chandralekha in 1998. The 1997 Hindi film Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadhkan, directed by Shahrukh Sultan, is often stated to be Koppikar's first bollywood film debute, but the project was not released. So we can say her career must therefore be said to have begun with the 1998 Telugu film Chandralekha, with Nagarjuna, and directed by Krishna Vamsi, with music by Maestro Sandeep Chowta. She was awarded the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Koppikar's second movie was En Swasa Kaatre in 1998, opposite Arvind Swamy, directed by K. S. Ravi, with music by renowned music director A. R. Rahman.

After a tour to Mumbai for a brief appearance in Fiza . Taking time out from four Kannada films in 2000, Koppikar appeared alongside Karisma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in Fiza. An item number appearance in Prakash Jha's Rahul completed Koppikar's introduction to Hindi film. Brief returns to South they were coupled with Isha Koppikar to proper Bollywood debut in a small supporting role in Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, with Arjun Rampal and Sunil Shetty. Isha Koppikar was paired with Sunil Shetty in the film. Her next release was basedon a urban comedy Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa, with Govinda, Juhi Chawla and Johnny Lever and Chandradhurn singh. After that Isha Koppikar appeared in a supporting roles in Company by Ram Gopal Varma to appear in an item number, Company starring Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi and Manisha Koirala. She did a second item second item number song, Ishq Samundar, in Sanjay Gupta's Kaante, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty Sanjai manjrekar and Kumar Gaurav, this was enough for her to raise her profile and in the following year she took the Stardust Award for Khallas in Comany.
